STRESS MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES
Stress management is about taking charge of your lifestyle, thoughts, emotions and how you deal with problems. No matter how stressful your life seems to be, there are always steps you can take to relieve the burden and regain control. It starts by being aware of all your stressors and being mindful of how you feel towards them. Anything can be a stressor. It could be an overwhelming workload, problems at home or at work or not being able to take control of your diet. Stress management techniques are required to be able to function and to maintain a healthy state of mind. This course explores the importance of firstly identifying the stress (both real and imagined), the sources of stress and the symptoms of un-managed stress. It examines positive and negative escape routes available when faced with stress, the 4 C’s of stress and why it is essential to prioritise mental wellness.
